In an age where traditional tailoring and embroidery are fading into the background, Geetha is a woman who chose passion over stability, reviving her creative talents and bringing a complete transformation to her life. Her dedication, punctuality, and customer-centric approach have earned her the trust of many today.
Geetha’s journey began in the memories of Tirur. Life took a major turn when she moved to Kozhikode, and eventually to Dubai with her husband. When she returned to India with her newborn, she had no idea it would mark the beginning of reclaiming her true purpose.
Like most people, she started with a regular job. She secured a position at Kinfra and worked there for 12 years. In 2018, when the office shifted to Kochi, her long-lost love for tailoring began to resurface. The stitching skills she had honed since childhood slowly turned into her chosen career path. In 2019, she opened her own tailoring shop and hired a few employees.

Just six months later, the global COVID-19 pandemic struck, forcing her to shut the shop. When she re-entered the market, she did so with a unique idea—cotton masks.
Unlike the plain designs common at the time, Geetha’s masks stood out with vibrant colors and patterns. With access to high-quality fabrics, skilled stitching, and cutting professionals, she leveraged her network, collaborated with a team in Kochi, and launched a variety of stylish masks via Instagram. Despite a drop in wedding orders due to the pandemic, her creative pivot proved to be a success.
Later, she reopened her shop and saw an increase in orders. She transitioned into custom stitching of churidars, sarees, and wedding dresses, primarily catering to women and children. Initially, her shop was located on the second floor, which made it less visible. But moving it to a road-facing first-floor location marked a significant improvement. Today, a five-member team works with her, and orders come from areas like Kozhikode, Kadalundi, and Kondotty. Despite limited promotion, customer satisfaction has been her biggest advertisement. Word-of-mouth trust is Geetha’s true strength.
Geetha’s core business value is: “Deliver every product on or before the promised date.” Quality stitching and timely delivery are her priorities. Understanding and fulfilling the customer’s vision with precision and beauty is her mission. Even if there’s no profit, customer satisfaction comes first.
Now, Geetha dreams of expanding her shop, redesigning the display area, and possibly opening a new branch—especially in Kozhikode. The journey that began with a loan and a few small investments has grown steadily. Today, many textile shops even recommend their customers to her. Her business now generates an annual turnover of approximately 15–20 lakh INR. Behind these numbers lie stories of hard work and dedication.
Geetha firmly believes: “Don’t expect profits in the first month. If you work with sincerity, success will come looking for you.”
