Devika’s journey began in the quiet lanes of Pathanamthitta, Thiruvalla, where she grew up in a loving middle-class family. Her father worked as a hostel warden at Al Azhar Hospital, and her mother was a high school English teacher at an aided school. Their home, simple and grounded in strong values, nurtured discipline and hope, with a younger sibling still in school.
From childhood, Devika carried a spark—a deep fascination for business, creativity, and the desire to build something of her own. While many of her friends dreamed of conventional careers, Devika quietly imagined owning a brand that reflected her passion and vision.
This spark grew stronger during her postgraduate studies. The pandemic brought long, reflective days that fueled her desire to create something meaningful on her own. She envisioned launching a handmade jewellery and craft brand, even dreaming about a YouTube channel to share her journey. Though her parents urged her to focus on academics first, Devika promised herself she would pursue her dream when the time was right.
Life’s challenges soon tested her resolve. Midway through her PG course, her family faced financial difficulties. Determined not to be a burden, she gathered courage, arranged her own funds, and launched Adorn Decor, her first brand. Without publicity, help, or a team, Devika started alone with hope and fierce determination.
The early days were tough and solitary. Weeks passed without orders. She juggled her studies, work as a GST practitioner, and business responsibilities. Devika traveled alone to source materials, packed all orders herself, and queued at courier services after exhausting days. Despite the hardships, she held tightly to the belief that this was her true calling.
Gradually, her efforts bore fruit. Small orders started arriving, bringing quiet joy with each customer’s appreciation of her meticulous work. In a market dominated by low pricing, Devika chose to prioritize quality, using only top-grade materials and delivering flawless finishings. Though some customers left due to her slightly higher prices, what she built was far more valuable—unwavering trust. In one and a half years, Adorn Decor received no complaints.
A major turning point in Devika’s journey came through the support of her teachers, Usha miss and Girly miss, who recognized her potential early and encouraged her with guidance and confidence. It was Usha miss who invited her to the college’s ED Club, where Devika was honored as a Guest Entrepreneur. Standing proudly beside her products, she finally felt seen—not as a student with a side hustle, but as a true entrepreneur. That moment, strengthened by her teachers’ belief and the college’s recognition, transformed her small beginning into a clear identity and confirmed that entrepreneurship was her true path.
Devika’s journey gained powerful momentum with the support of the IWE Group, led by Asha, Laila, and Remya, who offered her work, exposure, and confidence during slow periods. Alongside them, her friends became the foundation of her progress. Sreelakshmi, her steady anchor from the beginning, supported her through academic pressure and emotional stress. Sonu strengthened the creative side of the business by handling photography, videography, and offering her office space when she can’t mange all the things together at that time. Anju chechi who is her office mate and Ganga who is her friends cum office mate also motivate her. while another close friend believed deeply in Devika’s vision and backed her second venture with full trust. They have kind enough to collect the orders for her. Together, this circle formed a dependable, motivating network that quietly shaped her growth and transformed her early efforts into a confident, collaborative entrepreneurial journey.
With this support and her unyielding courage, Devika launched Aadya Aura, her jewellery label. Running two brands at such a young age felt surreal. Listing these entrepreneurial achievements on her resume gave her goosebumps—reminding her of every struggle, every sleepless night, and every hard-won victory.
Today, Devika dreams on a bigger scale. Beyond growing her businesses, she embraces her passion for dance and envisions creating ventures that generate jobs, support families, and offer opportunities to others—just as she once hoped someone would for her.
From a young girl with hidden dreams to a confident woman running two thriving brands, Devika proves that success is forged by courage and perseverance. When you refuse to give up, even the universe aligns in your favor. For her, this journey is only the beginning of a much larger story yet to be told.
