“What has happened happed for the good. What is happening is also for the good. What will happen is also for the good.”
Bhagavad Gita
This is a gist of the Indian philosophy that has influenced the whole world.
A man comes into this world with empty hands and when the man dies again he goes with his empty hands.
In between these two episodes we live the drama of life. Some are heroes and others have to play the role of the secondary characters. Some people get to stay on the stage for a long time whereas others leave the stage fast. The team work of all the actors and actresses is what leads to the success of the drama. Even a person with a small role has his importance in the drama.
In the drama of life, good things and bad things can both happen. Life will not be full of woes all the time. But you should not expect desires all the time too. When a shadow of success falls on our lives, we should be hopeful and wait for the rainbow in life.

Whatever happens in life we cannot just dismiss it saying it is our ill fate. It is our will power and determination that makes fate favourable and unfavourable. The Western philosophies teach us that man needs an inspiration to go on or to do something. The westerners therefore provide their employees with a good salary, benefits and other things as motivation to them.
But all work is for the realisation of God. Do your work without expecting any returns, the returns will come to you by itself says the Indian philosophy. You might not get the result of what you have done today itself. Still do not lose hope, and do not fall into the valleys of laziness. Work energetically and make your area of work very active and full of life. Forget the failures you have had in the past. You should not live in the yesterdays. Make your today more meaningful and make your field of work very avtive.
You might have had a lot of bad experiences in the past. People whom you held most dear to your life might have hurt you a lot.
You might not have been able to shine well in studies.
You might not have got the recognition you deserved at the workplace. Your friends and relatives might have insulted and teased you.
Instead of recognition you might have got contempt and insult.
Someone you trusted in might have cheated you financially or physically.
You might have suffered due to sickness and poverty.
You might have felt like ending this life.
All these are stories of the past. Today is a new chapter in your life. What is to be written on this chapter should be decided by you and you alone.
There was an agricultural family that lived in London. In the land that they had got as hereditary they worked really hard day and night. A horse was their only asset in life.
One day while the father and the son were playing in the field, something in the horse seemed different and the horse made a strange sound and it just ran away.
What a stroke of bad luck said the son seeing this.
Lucky or unlucky. It’s not yet time to decide about that. Lets wait and see, said the father and consoled his son. Days and months passed by. The father and son forgot all about the horse. One evening while they where in the fields working, the sound of a horse’s hooves made them look up. There was their old horse which had come back from the forest with six other horses.
The son was happy beyond words could say. He said this was the luckiest thing that could happen to them. Lucky or unlucky it is not yet time to decide about that. Only time will tell. The father maintained.
Then one day while he father and son were working together on the field with the six horses. While trying to tame one of the horses from the forest the son was kicked by the horse and he broke his leg.
Then the son said, what bad luck. Now my father will have to toil alone in the fields. Again the farmer repeated his words.
In a few days there was a war in the country and all the young men were asked to sign up for the army. A lot of healthy people had to go for war and many of them even dies during the war.
But the farmers son did not have to enroll in the army because he had already broken his leg and was not fit enough.
In this story, in each of the stages whatever happened, whether it happened for the good or the bad. You have to decide the answers.
What we might have felt was unlucky was actually lucky for us and we would realise this only very late in life. The pain of yesterday’s hard work is gone today. Your life should not be wasted thinking about the past sorrows. Therefore believe once again, whatever has happened is for the good, whatever is happening is also for the good and whatever will happen is also for the good.
