In today’s fast-paced urban life, terrariums have emerged as one of the most beautiful ways to maintain a connection with nature, especially in offices and workspaces. By artistically encapsulating a miniature version of the natural world inside a glass container, terrariums allow us to bring a touch of greenery into our homes and workplaces. Each terrarium is a unique blend of creativity and joy — a living artwork.
From a young age, Basith had a deep love for plants and gardening. Since his family also shared this interest, gardening became a favorite hobby they all enjoyed together. These shared experiences helped nurture and deepen Basith’s passion.

During the second year of his degree studies, the COVID-19 pandemic hit. While the outside world came to a standstill, Basith found a source of income through plants. He began selling the plants he had at home — and that marked the beginning of a new chapter called Plant Aura. Using the profits from his early sales, he reinvested and gradually expanded his business. From production to packaging and sales, everything started from his home.
Basith showcased Plant Aura through diverse offerings like terrariums, pottery, and landscaping, each with its own uniqueness and quality. He paid special attention to the maintenance and customization of every product. Alongside his product line, Basith began conducting workshops to reach and benefit more people. These began in Calicut and later expanded to Kochi. Now, his workshops are held every week.
Basith’s goal is to turn terrarium-making into an immersive experience — teaching the artistic side of it, the basics of pottery, and hands-on techniques. The current generation, he observes, experiences a sense of therapy while engaging in these workshops. His sessions focus on two main objectives: teaching new skills and keeping people meaningfully engaged.
Rather than simply selling a product, Basith provides a complete experience — including care instructions, all required materials for setup, and a one-hour interactive session where participants create their own terrarium.
For newcomers, he shares insights on how to start a business, marketing strategies, and how to build a solid portfolio. Many people have successfully started their own businesses through this pathway that Basith opened up. He also dreams of having his own dedicated units for production, sales, and marketing.
Through resin art, Basith is now stepping into the international market. He believes that no matter where a business starts, its growth will always reflect the clarity of one’s vision and the strength of one’s planning and desire.
From a simple backyard garden to a nature business that inspires others, Basith’s journey proves that a green dream in a glass bottle can grow into something much bigger.
