Some journeys are built through ambition. Others are born from legacy, passion, and purpose. The remarkable story of Dr. Gopika N. and Dr. Hrishikesh is one such journey—where generations of wisdom have evolved into a modern healthcare institution dedicated to authentic healing.
Rooted in Kerala’s prestigious Ashtavaidya tradition, Dr. Gopika and Dr. Hrishikesh belong to a family lineage that proudly follows the illustrious medical legacy of the legendary Vayaskara Krishnan Mooss, one of the most respected figures in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Growing up in an environment where healing was not merely a profession but a way of life, Ayurveda naturally became their calling.

Driven by a commitment to preserve and advance this heritage, Dr. Gopika pursued her Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), later expanding her expertise through an MSc in Neuroscience, bringing together ancient Ayurvedic wisdom and modern scientific understanding of the human mind and nervous system. Her brother, Dr. Hrishikesh, also completed his BAMS and joined her in carrying forward their family’s healing tradition.
Their entrepreneurial journey began in January 2016 with a humble Ayurvedic clinic at Thirunakkara, Kottayam. What started as a small initiative driven by dedication and compassion gradually transformed into Narayaneeyam Arya Ayurvedam—a trusted healthcare institution featuring a fully equipped In-Patient Hospital Centre in Kottayam and a premium Panchakarma Clinic in Ernakulam.
Today, as Directors and Chief Physicians of Narayaneeyam Arya Ayurvedam, the siblings have successfully completed a decade of clinical excellence. While Dr. Hrishikesh oversees the operations of the advanced In-Patient Hospital Centre in Kottayam, Dr. Gopika continues to blend traditional Ayurvedic principles with modern neuroscientific insights to provide comprehensive patient care.
For both doctors, healing extends far beyond prescribing medicines. Their greatest passion lies in witnessing patients reclaim their health, confidence, and quality of life. Every recovered patient, every smile of relief, and every story of transformation reinforces their dedication to compassionate healthcare.
Over the years, one achievement stands above all others—the unwavering trust of their patients. What began as doctor-patient relationships has evolved into bonds resembling family. This trust has enabled Narayaneeyam Arya Ayurvedam to grow while preserving its core philosophy of personalized and empathetic care.
A proud milestone in their journey came when Dr. Hrishikesh was honored with the prestigious “Everyday Unsung Heroes” Award by The Art of Living, recognizing his selfless contributions to healthcare and community service.
Rather than viewing obstacles as setbacks, the doctors see every challenge as an opportunity for learning. One of the major hurdles they continue to address is public awareness. Despite Ayurveda’s scientific depth and proven effectiveness, many still perceive it merely as a wellness or relaxation therapy. Through continuous patient education and clinical excellence, they actively work to demonstrate Ayurveda’s powerful role in managing chronic and complex health conditions.
Narayaneeyam Arya Ayurvedam has established itself as a centre of excellence through its authentic Ashtavaidya lineage and specialized treatment protocols. The institution is renowned for its expertise in pain management, degenerative joint disorders, autoimmune conditions, allergies, sinusitis, chronic headaches, thyroid disorders, metabolic conditions, and women’s health. Every treatment plan is carefully personalized, addressing the root cause rather than merely suppressing symptoms.
As the institution celebrates ten glorious years of service, it has launched “Narayaneeya Dasakam,” a year-long community wellness initiative dedicated to the unsung heroes of society. Through this program, specialized wellness and rejuvenation therapies are offered to ASHA workers, Haritha Karma Sena members, police personnel, fire force officers, media professionals, and other essential service providers who tirelessly serve the public.
Looking ahead, the vision of Dr. Gopika and Dr. Hrishikesh remains clear—to expand the reach of authentic Ayurveda without compromising the values that define their legacy. Their future plans include establishing a premium Ayurvedic Geriatric and Wellness Centre in Pala, designed to provide holistic care for senior citizens by nurturing their physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. They also envision launching a fully equipped In-Patient Hospital Centre in Ernakulam to make intensive Panchakarma therapies more accessible to urban populations.
At its heart, Narayaneeyam Arya Ayurvedam is more than a healthcare institution. It is the living continuation of a centuries-old healing tradition, guided by compassion, strengthened by science, and dedicated to transforming lives.
The story of Dr. Gopika N. and Dr. Hrishikesh stands as a shining example of how heritage and innovation can coexist—creating a future where authentic Ayurveda continues to heal, inspire, and serve generations to come.
